Fortunately for me the insurance write off issue was not suffered by me, but reported in a Mogazine..(-:
As for me... I have had salvage retention on my Morgan for 20 years along with agreed value.
I do remember taking time to read the small print of my fully comp policy some years back which informed me that although insured for driving in the EU, my insurance cover dropped to whatever the minimum requirement was in the country I might be travelling in..!
Might be best to read one`s policy documents..?
