Thanks Simon and Andy for your excellent Road Test Reviews. I had dismissed the new Plus 8 as being c. £10k overpriced, but the fact I am sat here obsessing over what would be the right wheel choice shows that my subconscious is still tempted...
Like many who have commented, I don't like the wheels in the publicity photos, yet I don't want the large rim 'bling' of the Aero Supersports and I don't want the anachronism of wire wheels on a 2012 car. What I want is the spirit of an original +8 Milrace silver centre-lock alloy, but adapted in a 16" or 17" size and still allowing a taller sidewall than is usual on an Aero chassis. Interestingly, Image have some history with MMC, having I believe supplied the multi-spoke wheels shown on the original Aeromax prototype.
Views on wheels please... then all we have to do is persuade the factory to ease the price a little!
