I'm a bit paranoid about cam belts....had one go on a 30,000 mile three year old Golf tdi....it needed a new engine. Luckily 1 week out of warranty and VW paid!
One of those times when the wife was right (as always). Kept telling me that there was a funny ticking sound...I kept telling her it was nothing, just something caught in the tyre.....WRONG
