But any talk of it being better than the Plus Six is misguided IMHO.
The CX platform is in a different league to the old ali chassis on that car and I wouldn't buy it on those grounds.
There really is no comparison between the handling of the two cars and everything else is basically what you want it to look like

However, I don’t agree that the CX chassis is in a different league to the Plus 8 chassis. Maybe improved and somewhat stiffer, but the Aero-chassis was designed by Chris Lawrence and was “one of the stiffest chassis of all the convertible roadsters” for quite some years And it has been amended over the years of production. Many enthusiasts prefer the Series I chassis as being the purest to the original design.
As regards a V8 versus a turboed BMW engine and if it has had the Litchfield ECU programme developed for the Morgan GTR it makes an enormous difference to the performance and works well with the auto gearbox, I’ll take the V8 any day!
Luckily, we all have our own ideas of what is the ideal Morgan and imho that’s down to personal choice rather than mine’s better than yours…
