Wiesmann rightly went bankrupt because they became too proud. The inline six was discontinued and only V8s were available. The air became too thin, there were hardly enough customers for a minimum 140000€ car. The six was at about 70 to 80000€. Many more people could afford that. This new Thunderball should cost at least 300000€ in 2 years, so they say today. Let's see what it will really cost in two years. To be honest, it is such a dreamer project that I do not see yet arrived in the real world. It's similar to TVR. Most of the time the initiators run out of money before such a project is finalized. Only when I see such a Thundeball on the street I believe that it has become reality. Apropos, regarding the ignorance towards fans who might want to pay 50000€, e.g. for a 4/4, I see parallels to a small company in Malvern.
That reminds me - what happened to the ‘new’ TVR?
