The EU regulations will have something in them to try and only allow "E fuel" specific cars to be allowed to use "E fuels".

So there will be devices for sale on ebay to get round them.

There will be plenty Petrol and Diesel cars still around after 2035 and fuel stations to supply the conventional fuel. I cannot see a Europe wide network of "E Fuel" forecourts in small towns across Europe.
