I think the old ones do raise smiles all round, be it Porkers, Astons or whatever. The more recent models that could be described as "footballistique" perhaps less so. Certainly over here in France, flashy motors tend to bring out the latent inner marxist that lies within many french people. My old business partner Jeremy had a late model Merc SL that got vandalised 7 times in 2 years in the 7th arondissement (one of the nicest quartiers of Paris). He now has a V8 Vantage roadster, but he tends to leave it at his house in the boondocks as when he has been in Paris in it he's been sworn at, spat at and so on. My Mog has only produced friendly reactions.
