But instead of trying to increase the power, adapting the gearbox and/or rear axle could be an other approach.
5th gear 25mph at 1000 rpm... 165mph (260km/h) at 6600 rpm ... cannot be reached with a 2L Morgan taking into account the Cx, roughly about 300hp are needed.
4th gear 19 mph at 1000 rpm... 125 mph (200 km/h) at 6600 rpm
Shorter gears could give better accelerations with the standard motor configuration.
