my biggest moan - I went Friday - was the queue just to get over the track in the bridge near to the car parks. A lot of frayed tempers !!!

I saw that queue. :-(
There's a nearby crossing point just past the Start Line
- walk through the Supercar Paddocks, on towards the Startline Club - when you reach a T junction, turn left: the track is 30 yards ahead of you.
Of course the crossing point is not open when cars are going up the hill: I time my lingering in the Supercar paddock to coincide with the end of a Batch. It's more interesting than standing in the queue for the bridge.
