Ironically, and despite all the planning, shuffling around is essentially what I ended up doing myself doh

However, it's interesting how we both ended up with a very similar position thinking

Looks to me like we settled on the identical distance from the bonnet shut line, but I'm just a fraction higher hippy

This may be because the space between the bonnet shut line and the first louvre is different on each car, the additional space on Monty demanding a higher position to deliver the same symmetry nerd nerd nerd nerd

At my 4/4 4-seater I placed them under the frontscreen, at the scuttle, between screen frame and door. The 4-seater has a perfect spot for that!
