Talk Morgan Forums Morgan Sports Cars Classic Morgans (pre-CX) Curiosity

Curiosity finally got to me. Hiiden under the dash fixed to the steering column was a device that had no current function. Eventually I removed it to see what it actually is. It was obviously fitted by a previous owner but I cannot fathom what it was for. Any ideas anyone? Pics below.
