If anyone is thinking about good all-season tyres, certified for snow, can I recommend the Michelin CrossClimate.
They would not be an alternative to full snow tyres for someone who lives in the mountains but they are very suitable for the occasional encounter with snow, and are legal for winter use in Northern Italy. From 15 November 2023 to 15 April 2024, vehicles must have snow tyres or snow chains on board.
The CrossClimate are just fantastic in the wet too.

We have them on all three cars, The Polo, the Jag, and the Morgan.
