Found the article and as I thought it only refers to the flapper EFI system as follows:

"The serial number 83986 (A or the later B) is the designed for a Rover
Vitesse Sedan and came with the stock Morgan Plus 8s of that era. Easy
to deal with. It has a flat fueling profile that serves the whole rpm
range. Good option. Harder to find.
Then you have two skewed fuel maps which can be made serve;
84477 is a Range River profile with very good low and mid-range fueling
but will (without other measures) not allow you to rev much above 5000.
Very good for acceleration though when properly set-up. Easy to find
The 84941 skews the other way...a sold mid-range and high rpm but not a
powerful at lower range."

However there are lots of references to all V8 applications on GOMOG and well worth a look.
