Although newer it reminds me of the
Arctic Corsair another sidewinder trawler and Hull's last surviving. Built in Beverley in 1960 she had an amazing 30 year career including largest catch ever landed and direct involvement in the cod wars of the mid 70's (see link). Now part of the Hull transport museum collection she is undergoing repairs nearby before resuming her mudbank mooring early next year on the adjacent River Hull when tours will resume. I was particularly interested in the 2000hp Mirrlees two stroke diesel propulsion when last visiting. Another thought is that as a lad I've almost certainly eaten fish caught by her
