Hi everyone
Some of the LM62 owners will be aware already but there are a couple of instances of clutch failures on manual Plus Fours. Friend of mine ended up buying the grey plus four with the white leather (see other thread) and only after a few hundred miles the clutch pedal went long. One of the LM62 (CX) owners has also suffered a clutch failure - looks like the same part - the rod (or piston?) that is attached to the clutch pedal and passes through the bulkhead.
I have a long road trip planned and my clutch is already squeaking - feeeling a bit nervous about that so I thought maybe I'd buy the part to carry. It seems the LHD version may be Valeio part 2113615.
Question: - has anyone else had a failure? If so which part - does anyone know the part number for RHD cars, I can't find it - would a roadside replacement also require the clutch to be adjusted or is it essentially a straigh and simple swap of a mechanical arm
So many questions - sorry!
Thanks in advance for any input - I'm going to try to get the car looked at before I go away but planning for the worst here
