Though an even older one (historic 40+years) somehow feels more vintage and a lot of the pesky paperwork (and ULEZ type restrictions ) don't apply 😀

That's very true at the moment, but things may well change and all cars may start to fall within emissions charging regime, for example EV previously exempt are becoming chargeable in London. Lets see what happens on the road charges etc.
