If you get a new rack do make sure that you get the correct version for your car.
I ordered a rack to be delivered with the car in 2012, at the factory, and it wasn't until it was too late to have it changed that I discovered that they had fitted one for the earlier short door cars and that the sidescreens did not fit it correctly. I can get them in but at an angle. One of several things that they got wrong mad2 🤬

In the photo I found after a search on the web. The rear bottom tube is a little wider than mine and you see the rear support that is welded to the bottom tube and comes out a little behind the rest of the rack. This is to hold the sidescreens from sliding back. The knob on the centre right screws a pin in that locks the swivelling section of tube in place. With that section turned down you slide the (covered) sidescreens in place.

I hope that is clear: more difficult to put into words than show how it is.
