Indeed, I do like small yachts but my back hurts thinking about that long trip, they are a peculiar design with a distinct lack of bouyancy forward in most of the pics they are down by the head, which may cause fun in heavy running conditions. Though Don the organiser sailed the first one across the pond a couple of years back.
I got to know Don last summer when he was here for the Ocean Globe race stopover -which he also organised. He is a great guy with plenty of drive, and we took him out to film the Auckland finish and for a Friday night Rum race with his photographer. I will follow this race from time to time, but the Ocean Globe race is a wonderful event reminding us of all the good bits of the original Whitbread events-I also went down to the start in Southampton (it was the same weekend as Revival in 23)
