I have no idea of the system used by Morgan, but googling floating discs, it says that whilst they are noisy on race cars, road going vehicles usually have some form of damping such as springs. If they rattle it could be due to worn rivets or springs.
The question to be considered is whether they have always been like that or is it a more recent occurence?
