I suspect for every reliable Ferrari Porsche or other high end sports/GT car one cares to think of, there seem likely to be a considerably higher proportion of the marque that suffer from issues...?
I suspect Ferrari`s more than Porsches might be case, in that more Porsches than Ferrari`s will likely be used as daily transport, and therin lies the key to my line of thought. I suspect the initial design of a road car, is that it will perform as such and with some regularity of use, as opposed to it suffering lengthy periods of storage...?
One has only to look at the discussions on marque forums as Spring arrives, to read of all the issues that have potential to come to light...?
For every sports car owner who is financially comfortable, I suspect there is a far higher percentage who are restricted in their ability to run their sports car regularly, let alone maintain it as it`s manufacturers had intended..?
I suspect there are all different types of true automotive enthusiasts out there who for their own reasons will pitch one marque against another, such is human nature is it not..? Also if you care to add a bit of envy to expectations on behaviour, then the outcomes seem ..err...logical..?
