That's what they say. Or rather, they attempt to renew the design and gauge (harh, harh) the interest.

Personally I think, that if they stop the classic defender style and go for such a surfer wannabe vehicle, they'll loose a lot of customers looking to swap to a newer model.


They will lose most of their existing customer base. Few people buy a Defender as a toy - most want a work vehicle for farm or forestry or fire service or MCA or armed forces etc. Can you fit two sheep and a bag of sheep nuts in the back of that?

Even the kiddies who buy the image and mount a winch on the front and a tyre on the roof, snorkel etc wont want such a poser design.
