The Morgan Plus 8 is my runaway favorite, but you must be looking for something more comfortable. Here in America the choice would be the Mustang, which has V8 engines in all flavors and all vintages from 1965 to 2012. Crude but effective, and has small rear seats for kids.
No problem with small rear seats. My "kid" is 28, and she has her own car
