I would & did drive in the 70s by bike Burgos,Madrid, Toledo,Orgaz, Cuidad Real, Cordoba, Seville are all stunning but Cordoba & Seville show off the Moorish history. This was a quiet route missing the M ways.

Granda and the Alhambra is also excellent.
