Bad earth connection found by the "wire jiggling" method.
The earth connections are riveted inside the fitting. I drilled the rivets out, cleand everything up and re-asembled but using a nut and bolt. Smeard Vaseline over the new joint. No problems since.

Rear indicators stuill working perfectly since the work was done.
I have also fitted an indicator relay that "beeps" as the sun can obscure the dash warning flashing light and the "click" of the original relay is inaudible at apseed.
New beeper works fine but I may tone it down by fitting a mufflet over it. I sound like a large vehicle reversing when i indicate now!
