On Monday me and a golfpal leave from Kopenhagen to Edinburgh for five rounds of linksgolf in the Prestwick area. We rent a car in Edinburgh and drive to Ayr where we will stay for seven nights. Our teetimes are around nine o clock every day and on saturday we do not play at all. Does anybody know if there is anything Morganrelated in the neighbothood during my stay, dealers, noggings och places to go? Would be nice to meet any TM:er when beeing there.  Ken in Sweden

The nearest dealership is Perth, which is about an hour or so north from Ayr. Russell Paterson Morgan, worth a look.

Russell has a +4 he rents out if you've not got the hire car sorted yet.. Though Perth's a bit of a detour if you're heading over to Prestwick.

Hello all
Now back in Sweden. Arrived in Copenhagen at 1540 this afternoon. Sunshine and 22 C. Very nice return!
On my stay in the Ayr area I did not saw a Morgan for the whole week. They are even more frequently where I live in southern Sweden, close to Denmark. A lot of later Bentleys, a few later MG:s and on Prestwick GC there was a 50-ies Bentley fastback on the parking place. A lot of Miatas of course and several Aston Martins. I was a little disappointed. The weather was not bad, at least not for an enthusiast. However we were not driving very often on the smaller roads were it would be more likely to meet a Morgan. I do not like myself to drive on motorways and dual carriageways. So, I think there would be a few Morgans out if we hade chosen smaller roads. Anyway, I loved to come back to UK and the links courses were superb even if the results on the courses not was the same.
I was a little bit interested to go to the Boness hill climb, but my golf friend was not so keen.

Ken, if the TM crew do another Lap of Scotland in 2013, you'll have to time your trip with that - at least you'll get to see some other Morgans Glad you had a good trip and reasonable weather.
