If you look in a Halfords or similar it's a packet for cleaning interior trim - can't remember exactly what it said, but you should find something appropriate quite easily - the grime on the interior of the mohair (mine's a light grey colour) pretty much wiped off immediately.

Thanks. I picked up some simoniz upholstery wipes from halfords. I'll give them a try next time I have the hood up. Ian
I had the first service on the Roadster today & got the new Motolita steering wheel fitted ( at last ) Much better looking than the standard. Two problems arise, however: The lovely polished alli of the centre reflects in the screen. The end of the plastic cowling is now in full view. Oh well...
The steering is infinitely better than it was when new. Much lighter & more positive. Definitely better than the Mk1 Roadster with wires ( even if the alloys don't look so good )
The gearbox is probably the worst bit. First is much too low & second can be a bit tough to engage ( but that may well improve with use). The other four gears are fine. Third & forth are the ones to play in
The engine doesn't feel as free revving as the Mk 1, but it is early days... The car doesn't feel as quick as the Mk1, but when you look at the speedo you realise it is. It just gets there so effortlessly.
A very different animal to the Mk1, but certainly no regrets!
I fitted a leather sleeve over the boss to stop the reflections, from a supple leather offcut from E-Bay. MiniKeefy has the other one! There was only enough pre-stitched leather to make two.

That's an idea. I'd thought about spraying the boss matt black. But I also need to do something about the end of the cowl. It's no where near as smart as yours Ian
I have the same wheel and boss (black painted boss was an option, I prefer the polished ally) but suffer no unwanted reflections on my 2011 Roadster - I wonder if the cowl is shorter on the 3.7 previous owner trimmed raw edge on mine with some black piping.
