Hi,
I've left the welcome room pulled up a pint and sat down in the Arms looking for someone helpful looking... I see lots of helpful faces in deep conversation.
So I grab up my courage (Not the drink, I am nursing a pint of Adnams Broadside) and in my deepest Bluebottle like voice ask 'What time is it Eccles?'.
Now depending on the response from the other drinkers, I either proceed to ask mundane questions about AA/RAC or run for the door!

Good lad, 'tho I tend more towards the Southwold bitter as much 'tho I love the Broadside, it's a bit strong and tends to make me want to have a little lie down.

Ummm Southwold, don't usually see that around here... Other than Weatherspoons. But your right about the lying down bit, long gone are the days of three pints of Abbot Ale at lunchtime.
I usually go for a hlaf of something nice (if I'm driving) followed by a pint of soda and lime!

Excellent - I am a fan, got that from my Dad, Mum used to leave the room when a replay was on the radio  I like a Broadside occasionally... Dave W is correct!

Adnams Broadside. 6.4 % Good man.  Was at the Southwold on Saturday, lovely place. Godawful house prices though!  Jezza / Jeremy
