Hehe, I never intended to buy a Nissan anyway... So the system will shield me from unecessary feedback??? Next they'll be talking of removing the driver... Oh wait, they are! what happens when it fails, insurance costs go up? I guess Toyota drivers might be able to answer that one!

I guess Toyota could call their version "Recall" just to save time and confusion The blue oval have a version as well - so probably no escape in the long run.

The municipal plods here in St Germain en Laye have some Segways, so no doubt that will be their next project to waste ratepayers money on.

I wonder how you detect black ice, mind you even power asisted steering makes that difficult. No problem in a Mog though.

To the 'average' driving commuter why not. Might stop them tailgating....
For those of us who enjoy driving it is a chocolate teapot.
Ratchet forward a few years and people will have a car that they enter their destination and the vehicle will take them there
They will also have a car for real driving.
My mother (97) still considers cars with synchromesh gears are not real cars.....

So that's Nissan / "Infiniti" (cr*p name for a brand) off my next car list then... ...oh, hang about, weren't ever on the list. Do I add them now, to be able to take them straight off again Jezza / Jeremy

A possible plus for the driverless route would be for newly qualified drivers. It would allow them "road time" to gain some experience of road conditions etc and impose controls to prevent them getting into bad situations - tailgating/speed into corners etc . I wonder what else it could control too? Poor parking? Use of mobiles? Daydreaming? Put indicators on? The list of driver errors is long........
