Like Krod,I'm not sure what the advantange of RHD is, given how unique the car is anyway? It may compromise re sale values too.

Yes, exactly. I imagine it will be a difference of about 2 feet at eye-level, and there is really only one part of my daily drive that it will even matter -- and that is if I really, truly need to make an illegal pass on a frontage road. laugh

Short-term it will add to the "Britishness" of the vehicle; also why it will be in BRG. Mid-term I cannot imagine selling the thing, so I don't mind resale value in that timeframe.

And some years from now, it will be "the only RHD, US-certified, Generation 1 M3W" in the estate sale.

So I am good with all of that.

However, I must be careful not to break any of the RHD-specific parts, as those are likely to be *even harder* to obtain than other parts.

I wouldnt worry about parts. Parts wont be that hard to source as most parts on the M3W are sourced from elsewhere anyway and presumably Morgan will be around for many years to come.

It sounds as if you've thought out the spec. pretty thoroughly and if you would like RHD it can only add to the surreal experience of driving the car, there is only the waiting now........

Talked to my dealer today. He was not certain which side of the steering column has the TURN SIGNAL STALK on a RHD 3 Wheeler. In the photos it appears to be on the left of the column.

Also the pedals seem to be (from left to right) clutch, brake, and accelerator.

Is there a current owner of a RHD 3 Wheeler who can tell me definitively that the turn signal stalk is on the left of the column and that the pedals are arranged as I've described above?

Many thanks in advance!

Mine has turn signals on both sides and you can program the pedals so you can choose which ones do what.

Are you serious? If you are, then the answer is yes!

I jumped on here from a custom keyboard forum where the ironic answer above would be perfectly normal, so it took me a minute to figure out that you were joking. (I was with you until you got to the programmable pedals.)

Anyhow, yes indeed I was serious. Based on my experience driving in Ireland with a rental car that had the turn signal stalk on the RIGHT made me painfully aware that I could not re-program my brain. Every time I needed to signal an emergency turn (which happened surprisingly often on side roads in Ireland) I hit the wipers or the high beams. Every time.

Anyhow, thanks very much for the verification!

Best regards,

p.s. TIL that "week 8" in MMC-speak means "week 16" if you look at a real-world calendar.
