I'll remember that bit about ingress/egress!  This might help a bit on the M100 front: http://www.lotuselancentral.com/I was looking for one around 5 years ago, but didn't find anything suitable over a period of about 4 months, so bought the Mk1 MX-5 instead... Dave W - in view of Howard's comment, maybe we should all go back to Norfolk for a driving experience

Graham - not a great idea, given what's happened to Easter.
Who will be next? I've also started looking at front engined V8's again, and thinking................
Uncle Melv has a rash of older Plus8's in at the moment, in smarty colours. Woe is me.
Mind you, an MGRV8 looks fantasic value compared to most options.

Graham - not a great idea, given what's happened to Easter.  OK, maybe just Richard and I then... I just enjoy the opportunity to try different cars, preferably in an environment where one can concentrate on getting the best out of the machinery - can't do that on many roads down south...  Front engined V8s... I understand (from my local TVR pals ) that Chimaeras are pretty good value at present... Cheers,

Just back from a night time jaunt, initial impressions- blimey it's quick (1.8L supercharged, 220 bhp) sharp steering, Roadster smelt better and sounded better but Lotus is sharper/goes harder/ faster and uses less fuel doing it. Fabled entry/exit gymnastics not much worse than a Mog.Apples and pears really. Pics soon

Speed humps are no longer a major worry though the increased width results makes for a tight squeeze in my garage. DaveW is of course the guilty party in this happy state of affairs Dave - if you are planning any more factory trips please don't invite me.

Would be grateful for the measurement between outer edges of rear tyres, overall width, and width of your garage door.
Width is critical where I live.................

Howard, thanks for the tip on wet weather, the dry grip is so high a sudden change to a greasey surface could be interesting to say the least. Graham, Evora would be nice but I would have to knock down and rebuild my garage, the Elise is a squeeze to open the door wide enough to get in and out, also many Evoras come with the 20" rear wheel option and the tyres are £900 a pair, a new clutch is a 30 hour labour job.  Dave, the width across the tyres is 68" and the width across the mirrors is 73" - my garage is only 90" wide.
