I have spend the last few days in the garage, polishing my Rodster, preparing it for the winter here in Sweden. Today I started waxing the car with stuff from Meguiars. I then intend to take of all the wheels and clean them on both sides. Takes a while, but when the weather is bad itīs nice to take care of your car. However it will never be a garage queen. When the sun is there, even if itīs below zero, we will be out again.

I like your attitude. A great car should be polished and pampered. But at the same time you should never be afraid to use it and get it mucky.

Clear a space in your garage, I am on my way with my Morgan for you to clean the wire wheels etc.

Actually, I had an enjoyable Sunday giving the Morgan a wash and brush up.

I've yet to wax mine as it's still brand new - I'm reliably informed that one should wait six months before waxing brand new paint.

One of the advantages/disadvantages of 'Sand' is that it doesn't show any dirt. It's the most peculiar colour in this regard. However I'm not sure it will show a shine either. Some of the trads photographed here have the most glorious deep shines - I don't think Sand will have this property somehow.

On balance, and living a long way up an unmade track, Sand seems entirely practical! My other cars in reds and dark blues and blacks have all been buggers to keep clean. The Morgan looks easy...... Apart from the wire wheels. smile
