Don't know what other Yorkshire/Northern contributors think, but it seems ridiculous to me that there isn't a single Morgan dealer or (I think) authorised servicing agent in any of the Yorkshire counties.
Ledgerwood seem lovely, but travelling to rural lincolnshire for a service aint convenient.
By the way is anyone gong to their open day on 8th December?
(This is to let you all know that Phil and Joyce Ledgerwood will be holding their now legendry OPEN DAY on SATURDAY 8th DECEMBER between 10.00am and 4.00pm. As usual there will be Refreshments available (Bacon Sandwiches, Soup etc.) Notification needed.
While you would seek out your favoured marque irrespective of dealer location, MMC are missing a huge target demographic, especially in the affulant 'golden triangle' where a dealer is needed for a variety of reasons to help tap this huge potential consumer base.
thinks a dealer next door to Betty's in Harrogate or York would do nicely.
If MMC have a dealer waiting list maybe this will factor into their strategic thinking.
Expansion to Beijing is fine but Barnsley would be handier.
Content emailed to MMC – if they reply, I will let you know.

It does seem hard to believe that no one has seen the gap /distance in the dealerships. Our daughter lives just north of Harrogate I could then alternate my services between BHM ( Brands Hatch Motors) and MHB (Morgan Harrogate Barnsley). May you and Dean are up for a challenge ?? Id be your first customer ... Note: BHM always welcome you with a cup of home made tea / coffee .. not out of a machine. A word to the wise their kind of customer care really works
Why dont you give Domonic Mason a shout he is along at Dent just up the road from Hawes ( cracking fish and chips ) . His dad raced a +4 done mine a few times.

There have been two dealers in Yorkshire during the last 20 years. One was in Otley; it was a Ford garage which eventually closed down. An order-taker and also did a bit of servicing, but never seemed enthusiastic - never any Mogs in the window. The other opened a dealership just outside Harrogate, and then after a few years moved it to the company HQ in Bedale. Neither very successful - it would seem that canny Yorkshiremen prefered to get their cars from Co. Durham or Lancs, or more recently Lincs. Or Sedburgh for servicing. It's not enough to just open a dealership and expect people to flock to you: you have to live and breathe Morgans to be successful.
Do you have his number Jack? Me and the mog love Hawes and the dales.
Have you told the Missus that you love Hawes, and how did she take it ?
In a similar vein to your observation about the lack of dealers in Yorkshire (particularly surprising in North Yorkshire there's certainly a lot of folk with a bit of brass up there) I was really surprised to learn elsewhere on this forum that there isn't a single dealer in the whole of Ireland, north or south. I know that the emerald isle has it's fair share of weather and that Mogs are best appreciated when it ain't raining, but even so, we know from the Paddymog contingent that Malvern's finest are not without their admirers over there.
