A MESSAGE FROM THE SELLER
a car is categorised C or B by the insurance as long as a VIC (vehicle identity check) is carried out at a vosa test centre ( they carry out a vehicle inspection and check the vehicle over for repair and legality) then they will forward their report to DVLA and they will then issue a logbook for that vehicle, totally legal and correct. My policy does cover me for all cars but I do have to list them individually to be covered correctly. An engineers report is an in depth inspection and shows that a vehicle has been repaired back to a high standard, this is then enough for an insurance company to be confident that the vehicle is fit for purpose and insurance

What would happen if Rowan Atkinson's McLaren F1 ever came up for sale?
100 units just like a Max,well publicised/photographed damage and a lot worse than the Max in question but repaired at the McLaren factory. Don't know if its recorded?
Or am I using a rediculous comparison?
Incidentally can anyone actually confirm whether or not Rowan owns a Max?

Not a good comparison. You cannot say the damage of the F1 was worse structurally because nobody knows quite what was damaged and due to cf's properties the damage sometimes looks worse than it is.
However, as McLaren have all the original moulds everything could simply be made again, regardless of whether it was Trigger's Broom afterwards. In this case they have said the Max's chassis isn't repairable. Even if the F1's carbon tub was it could be replaced wholesale and be as-new.
p.s. nerds points only but they made far fewer than 100 road-going units.

Wow that colour looks lovely in the outdoor shots. Never seen one in a darkish red. Wish I had been more adventurous...

Colour looks a bit flat and boring to me. And why can they not bother to clean the interior when asking people to stump up 100k? Mad.

To me the tiny mileage is in fact a bit of a negative, is 850 miles actually enough miles to fully debug the car? and of course well out of warranty
In my day dreams of actually owning an Aeromax the Mole Valley one looks the best of the current crop, but they seem to have had it for a long time

When I was looking for an Aeromax I went to view that car when it was last up forsale some 20 months ago,at the time the car had nearly 800miles on the clock, however after I arranged to come an view the car on arrival the car wasn't presented very well as it had been cleaned, stone chips ,and a couple of curbed wheels, not what I expected for a car with such low mileage, the car was owned by j.c.ts owner I must say the colour and interior is an acquired taste. The previous owner must have never of used it
