Came past the local football club field tonight the flood lights on full hole and the locals running around in shorts and shirt. Its cold enough to freeze your b*lls off they must be mad .
We put up a string of classic lanterns bought in 1979... they are a bit like "Trigger's Broom" because they use clear pygmy bulbs which need replacing regularly. This puts the annual cost up (bulbs + electricity ) especially now our beloved EU has banned tungsten filament bulbs... you can only now get the special ones for cookers locally, at about three times the price of the old standard bulbs! Still the original capital outlay is well amortised now... not sure if that meets nearly your definition of "tight" Dave?
