Of course I ate half a carrot , not a hope in hell of eating a slice of turf off a lawn God knows which dog dropped his load on it. You will be telling me next you can eat badger . Tried the sunroof its dry so will tell her to go up the local garage and stick it on the ramp with her sitting in it and leave it up their so I can have a quite Christmas . Just gone up for  at her firms do . I took Jnr past her test 1 year ago and is now the worlds best driving instructor you are doing everything wrong dad " yes like 9 months before you came along " . I think I will go into the garage a bit more over Christmas . JTL you didnt really eat half a carrot did you ??  ......some one tell him please  Exactly. They dont get wild carrots in Lapland - they eat moss and lichen. JTL should have gone out onto his lawn , dug up a clump of moss and left that half eaten on the hearth. What he did was a dead giveaway.

Dont you mean a sleigh , she has already called me a Bah Humbug just because all the firms start in late August and it kills the spirit of Christmas for me . No children to tell lies too or get up at 3am has Santa been no go back to bed , or hide the stuff at your parents etc inc eat half a carrot and leave it by the fireside . She never cleans it or treats it with any TLC hence the wet carpet GRRRRR .  It's Christmas JTL .... go on buy her a new one   I used to put whisky/mince pie/carrot and raisins down for santa and Rudolph. Drank the whisky - Santa preferred it in our house - ate the mince pie. When the children saw the raisins i said it was reindeer poo and ate some to "test" and confirm. Caused some great face-pulling!

JTL - you likely wont find any moisture round the sunroof even if it is that. Check the roof lining by the roof pillars - thats where my lads sunroof leak appeared.
The other things to check are the radio aerial seal and the drain holes in the bottom of the doors.
If you google for water leaks in the Clio you will find loads of people with the same issues and usually it is, as it was in our case, the sunroof..

......except that the car doesn't have a sunroof!............hmmmm.......or does it? An early post says no sunroof and a later one says it has it....confused!
I'd resort to the hosepipe test of I were you JTL.

It'll probably need a wash after the drive back from Manchester anyway, good excuse for the hosepipe test - sorry mate, you'll be thinking I'm siding with jnr here

While Jnr is asleep in bed I was at the garage booking it in took pleasure in going into her room and doing a Billy Cotton on her ears . I did say twice about the sunroof because I had put no meaning I had tested it and no it was dry I felt it for rain around the edge . I have this odd feeling its from underneath . You are 100% correct its as cold as ice in that garage looks like my fingers have been in blue dye and the amount of wet dusters is mounting up off my nose . The air is also damp carcoon is out . I may as well stop because I am getting nothing done but know I am to stupid to. JUST FOUND IT I went out to have a look spotted the front floor pan soaking went up to the sunroof then over to the window corner the roof lining was soaking looked outside and the plastic corner on the moulding is broken . Instead of a rubber all the way around the screen it has a length running up each side and a hole about the size of a small thumb nail .If the garage can not fix it straight away I will bung silicone in it till she can nip along to a dealer . I have learnt her to well because she is doing me a favour by calling into the depot she has took my plastic to pay for her repair she can remember those 4 numbers better than me  It'll probably need a wash after the drive back from Manchester anyway, good excuse for the hosepipe test - sorry mate, you'll be thinking I'm siding with jnr here

You where spot on the garage said the sunroof needs to come out nothing to do with the screen . Its sorted for Monday £40/- . Jnr just phoned she thinks Iain can answer everything instantly without seeing it . She has just started packing her 03 Clio to travel home and informs me the near side floor is soaking not in the rear but under the seat and front foot well . She is like most daughter thinks cars never need looking at and go on for ever without a problem . Anyone got any ideas what or where its coming from before she lands on me giving me hell . At a guess the car has a sun roof. If you google clio sunroofs you will find that they are notorious for leaking. Its a PITA to deal with but it is a DIY job. Requires complete removal of the sun roof, cleaning and re-sealing with the likes of sikaflex. The leak in my sons case was between the metal of the roof and the outer most sealing strip ie not between the glass and the seal. And the water appeared in just the places you describe. pm me if you want any more info.

She was one step ahead of me and gave me back my plastic then said " there you are dad saved you some cash they did not even charge me " what are you on about girl . My tight jeans that you are always telling me off about the mechanics where watching and their minds went blank, so I came home .Looks like the site of her legs got it for free. We must buy ourself some for next time we go to a mog dealer . There we go - we don't just sort Morgans here
