My passenger side round mirror supplied by Morgan is fine with the arm adjusted as close to the door as possible. The only trouble is that this brings the mirror inside the line of the car and does not give the best view when reversing (I always use the mirrors to reverse). I am thinking of trying to adapt a good set of motorcycle mirrors. Something like the mirror below. It is made in stainless so cutting the stem is not a problem.
