My Roadster is going into build on the 4th February Over the next week or two I will have to confirm my specification I am pretty much decided on everything essential - Sport Black. Saddle brown trim Walnut dash 14" Steering Wheel 7\" x 16\" Stainless polished wire wheels (x5) Badge Bar Traditional hood - deluxe mohair. Elasticated door pockets Mesh Grille Over riders Paint protection film Speakers and Aerial Only Start button Tread Rubbers - Two per side Wing mounted sidelights. Two minor things I am undecided on. 1. I have been advised to have the brown carpets over the black. Has anyone seen the brown carpet and is it a good match the saddle brown trim? A minor detail, I know, but I want to get it right. 2. I am thinking of the heated seat option. Does anyone have this and is it worthwhile? I am going to make a few special requests as well and I hope the factory can accommodate - I would like the old Morgan script badge on the rear deck in place of the Roadster one (can't see that this will be an issue); If possible I would like the interior of the hood to be black lined instead of Morgan's usual light colour (I have seen a few cars with this. If possible I would also like some kind of Morgan badge on the center dash panel just to fill up that large blank space in between the dials. I saw something like this on a car in the factory. Exciting times - I really can't wait and am starting to have difficulties sleeping with the excitement

You're going to love the Roadster. I was out in mine today - it can be very badly behaved when asked. I didn't spec the beading on mine, I guess the standard black will go best with black.... But thought I'd mention it. Tonneau cover? Very useful object. Build record? Wing lights? Which dealer are you using?

Sounds like a Great Spec David. Re Mohair Roof Lining. It is worth asking. Our 1st 4/4 with Black Hood had White Lining. The Roadster with Green Roof has Black Lining. Personally I preferred the White Lining as it is less claustrophobic on the rare occasions when driving with the Hood Up, particularly at night. You just have to keep it clean. Maybe worth considering an Under Dash Flexible Arm Map Light, fitted to our roadster by the factory, which is useful at night as an Interior lamp. The Centenary Pack included a Dash Badge of the Centenary Design but it may also be worth considering a fitted Clock there. We don't have Heated Seats but as we find the shape of the seat uncomfortable we use cushions and I use a Lumber Pad, so it may be worth investigating extra Seat and Lumber Padding in the hollows which some owners have had done afterwards by Allon Whites. Now all you have to do is wait.

Mohair/Twillfast is available with either cream or black on the reverse. Those are the only two colours I've seen, but there may be others. So a black interior on the hood shouldn't be a problem.

Cor, what a spec QS. ££££ I'll bet , but you're only on the planet once. I'd stick with black carpets piped brown, I love mine (and will need to purchase new set soon, damned right heel!) Obviously, as you know, lots of please, during construction and after if poss. It is the law When will she be born? Cheers Jeremy

Neilda - I can’t wait to misbehave I am getting the deluxe hood option so that includes the tonneau. I am a fan of driving half tonneau as well, which is another reason for the old style hood as it suits this style best. Not sure about the build record. Is it worth it? My dealer is Richard Thorne and they have been great.

Thanks for the tip - I will try the seats out again and see if this something to consider.

What about a moto lita steering wheel Dave ( don't forget the leather cowl trim surround now a factory option)

I try not to think of the price - but at least the depreciation is low. I would hate to spend 50k plus on a car that was worth less than 10k 5 years later. Camera is at the ready - going into build first week in Feb so my dealer reckons the car will be with me mid-March.
