For the ultimate in motoring ignorance read the linked review to the 3.7 Roadster - http://cars.uk.msn.com/features/the-most-disappointing-cars-of-2012?page=9The comments below are superb - they all attack the reviewer for his stupidity.

I read that when it came out..... The issues the reviewer had are common across all traditional Morgans, great looks, classic motoring, vintage race feel, unique heritage etc. Shame he forgot to mention them! The Roadster should be the flagship traditional. I suspect it might become so. I'm a huge fan of the power/body combination, at nearly 100bhp per ton, it's a rocket. But those who have bought Morgans know that other car buyers sometimes just don't 'get it'. Not everybody wants an impossibly attractive car in their garage.

I entirely agree with the rub of what you're saying Neil, but the pedant in me obliges me to point out that the power to weight ratio of the roadster is 295 bhp/tonne (or about 270 bhp/ton) . i.e. sufficient (as Rolls Royce always used to say....) Even my humble 4/4 manages 138bhp/tonne (or 125bhp/ton).

The Roadster is openly touted by Morgan as the flagship model in the Classic range.
But, when the chips are down, all Morgan Classics are basically a variation of the same car - the classic 4/4 - but with different engines and wider tyres/tracks for the Plus 4 and Roadster. Non aficionados really can not tell the difference between a 4/4 and a Roadster.

They can. Because I shout 'IT'S A ROADSTER' so there's no confusion.
