Good summary Peter.

I've owned a few classics and paid people to restore them.... As you say, there's ALWAYS a problem.

Whenever you see vintage Astons for sale, it usually reads:

Aston V8 Vantage, 1982, storm red. Engine restored, £84k of receipts. £75,000 or near offer.

Very well put Peter - my thoughts exactly.

I do agree - I have restored and/or had restored 12 veteran/vintage and classic motorcycles over the years crazy2

Every one a joy - and many I should have kept doh

BUT there are always ongoing issues/problems/fixes to contend with - and with one exception I always made a loss on the sale of the bikes - and that is without costing in a penny of my time. innocent

I always wanted a 30s Aero Super Sport - but am just soo happy with my new M3W love

Neil
