Couldn't resist - took out my 1 x 3 yesterday in the snow in Surrey. Once out of the garden (tricky and lots of sideways sliding) car was quite easy to handle, but a bit less traction than I expected perhaps. Anyway, one wheel drive at least means you keep drive to the back wheel without excessive wheelspin due to a diff...
Front wheels coped well and reactions from pedestrians and others quite remarkable.
Cleaned the car carefully afterwards - snow packed inside front wheelarches, but the big oddity was the snow that was fired through the hole behind the rear wheel where the knurled wheel is that looks like a fitting for rear light. Here I found dirty snow and stuff sitting on the top of the wooden frame which was very hard to remove - had to use a hair-drier in the end as didn't want to leave salty snow sitting in freezing garage for too long. Managed to ram some kitchen towel through various orifices to dry it out.
Watch out for this dirt-trap! Sorry no pics - put it back together before snapping!
My experience with snow wasn't at all like yours. I thought I would go for a drive as the roads where clean. As I climbed up the mountains, one piece was only clean where the tyres are, except that with the 3 wheeler, the driving wheel was on snow and it wasn't good at all, so I drove half on the other lane, with front tyres on snow and rear on dry. That worked. When I had enough I found a flat parking to turn around. It was covered in snow, and yes, I got stuck about 1 meter away from the dry road. Got a friendly push from some bloke who was putting on his snow rackets.
BTW, if anyone is interested or knows of anyone who might be, I will be selling 261. Its a great little thing, but not one for me. (nothing to do with the snow of course!)
