Do you have a double bolt on the other side of the steering wheel? ie the one you can't see in your photo? I thought that the cars are delivered with the release disabled now (can't confirm that myself). So it may be that it was simply not fitted correctly. If you have a double both, this is your issue... In theory, once the wheel is in the correct position, you push it in to where you are in your second photo. On your first photo, you can see the 'flat' section. Make sure that this is lined up with the 'flat' section inside the wheel. Then pull back again, and push, this releases the outer collar to lock. But it looks like you can't pull it back anymore... I am really hoping that its just getting it lined up correctly! Good luck!

Hello all
This thread is certainly interesting to me as I am pretty sure that our 3 wheeler is a build buddy of Vspec's (I saw them together in a picture a few weeks ago). Looking at the pictures above and comparing with Mike's, it seems that the newer wheel is a bit thinner and so maybe the bolts protrude a bit more - there also appears to be an additional washer. Could this be preventing the mechanism from working?
Just a thought.
Looking forward to our arrival. A little hiccup with the dealer has slowed things down ....

There's no double one, but one of them is much shorter than the other 2. These 2 prevent from pulling back the mechanism unless it is lined up so that they fit through the holes. I thought it was all moving ok as long as I did this... Maybe not. Tomorrow I might remove the wheel from the boss/collar - thus eliminating the bolts from the equation - and see if the collar fits on its own. If that works then the bolts need shortening.

Yes it was Bert's pic. Pretty sure that ours is the red one - brown leather, lhd. Hopefully it will be on it's way to us very soon.

Ok, The bolts should line up exactly with the holes. If you can rotate the collar, this could the issue, BUT you have a new style steering wheel so it could be different! I hope you can see that the bolts are lined up! The camera angle makes it look like they are not, but it is a perfect 'fit'.  Simply pressing the collar down should allow the long bolt to pass through as below...

Strange as I think they are the same. Does yours have a sticker on it? The steering wheel itself shouldn't make any difference I wouldn't have thought

Nope, the collar is fixed. The sticker is from lifeline which is a fire extingusiher company.....
