Just spoke to Morgan Belgium and they had a similar problem with the wheel on another 3 wheeler they delivered today. They caught it before the car left and ended up switching for a wheel from another car.

If I find the time I'm going to take my wheel to them tomorrow and they will switch mine too

Just thought for my 100th post on TM I'd share some pics of other 3Ws I found lurking in the basement of Morgan Belgium yesterday. Personally I haven't seen one this shade of blue before, looked nice.

Just a final update from me: the wheel issue has been solved.

After trying many different wheels without success, the solution lay in discreet application of a metal file to the steering column (by a qualified mechanic, not me!).

What impressed me was that Morgan Belgium actually came to my house to fix it. Unexpected and much appreciated.

So I'm mobile again... and the forecast is for snow this afternoon smile

Just been for my third ever drive, in the dark (the snow came.. and went... all dry now but not sure when the next chance will be).

It's still quick, and still sounds great. The lights are surprisingly good. It's even more dramatic in the dark: you can imagine you're driving a pre-war Bentley with those huge chrome orbs lighting the road in front smile

Odo says 100km now, so that's one tenth of the run-in done!

A little update on my car... the saga of the steering wheel continues!

My family kindly got me a Brooklands wheel for Christmas. But...

1) When I got it it was mounted North-South (as requested) but the Morgan script was upside down
2) The holes for the bolts were drilled slightly out of position, so the bolts aren't straight and it took me ages to get them off without scratching the wheel in order to fix 1) (expected better for the price, to be honest)
3) (more serious) The quick release mechanism doesn't fully attach, exactly as the original didn't (read back in this thread for details!)
4) The quick release mechanism has 4 bolts rather than the 3 on my original wheel, so I can't just swap them

Grrrr. Another visit to the dealer I guess.
