I'm thinking a nice chrome double air horn would be a logical replacement for the electric box that comes on the five speeder. We don't have ours yet but I'm thinking it should be possible. Any thoughts?

A close friend is a dealer for Stebel Horns and he hooked me up with one of these for the MINI a couple years ago. People definitely do not expect such a big sound from such a small car, which led me to inquire about another for the 3 wheeler!

After reading the owners manual, I decided to have the dealership install this component for me. It should be installed before I pick it up here in a few weeks when we get some decent weather.

Keith, did you fit the relay as well? In Simmonds video for fitting this horn suggests it's a straight swap for the original unit. Gerry

How much delay is there between pressing the horn button and noise starting?
One reason I removed the air horns from my 4/4 was the delay time for the horns sounding...

For me the bigger issue is having the switch on the dash. In most situations, by the time I've found the switch there will be no more need for it...

I've got a very similar item from Halfords and the response is instantaneous.

Stebel Nautilus Compact (cos that is what the photo is of) is one seriously LOUD horn. Stebel claim there is next to no lag. Not available now from Halfords, and may be in short supply judging from a quick look.

I'm even tempted to add a hidden one to the two speeder, but so far I've not found a seller with dimensions as to be any use to me, as I would have to fit it through one of the D shaped cut outs I have. No way would I have 2013 technology visible on a 1930 trike.

If you need any specific information, let me know and I will email my friend (Todd). They do make smaller units, you just need 2 of them if you want a dual tone horn.
