Has anyone had this?
Just coming back from first service today in heavy rain. Turned on fastest speed for the wipers. Fine for a while, then they just stalled halfway across, and wouldn't go again. If I pushed into a lower speed, they'd go fine.
Going back to garage tomorrow, so it'll probably get sorted there, but just wondered if anyone had heard of it.

Wipers on the Max stopped working once on a Journey up to Scotland. I travelled approx 50 miles without wipers, the decission was made to inspect for the fault once we had arrived at the Lodgings we had booked.

After unpacking i return to the car, i turned on the ignition and the wipers have worked ever since. !! confused2

Aah. The turn it off and then turn it back on technique. Very cunning.

Amazing how often that works !!!

I expect it's water getting into something! How silly to be trying to use the wipers when it's raining outside!

My radio occasionally stops when it rains hard, but has always come back to life afterwards - so far. Wipers, though, have been fine the few times I've used them.

Yes. My 3.7 Roadster did a very similar thing. There's a plug & socket connecting the wiring to the wiper motor. It had come loose. Pushed it home again & everything worked fine. I put a cable tie around the connector to stop it happening again.

Ah! The Bill Gates solution!
Don't forget you also have to close any open Windows before turning off and re-starting hide
