Well gentlemen I have read your replies and had a chuckle , problem is after thought should come first . Just cost me to have the PC looked at . Cant help but spot the fear of the word racist . I have to say that for once in my bloody life it went through my mind , hence I did not blast the cupid stunt ! it stopped me being me it, wont happen again I will blast who ever phones . I was talking to a South African black on the phone a while ago, she had called me ( THIS WAS REAL NOT A CON ) and she came out with you British are afraid of us and colour you have forgotten how to act and treat us we are only people we have a sense of humour , that point stuck in my mind . Am I racist yes at times , but that includes every colour under the sun including myself but its not the colour its the person .
My late mate who died in 2010 was a chef in the army he was called in front of his major ," Burton you are here about racist remarks, are you racist " . No sir I hate blacks , whites , Yanks , Frogs , Jocks, Paddys , and all of the loons I cook for . The major's reply " Out Burton you are wasting my time ".
A year ago I sold some stuff to a local girl it was to heavy for her to carry and she told me she would send her partner in to pick it up around 4-30pm . Whats his name, Smith , you will know him when he arrives , I wont I have never seen him , you will and out she went . Scratching my head I got on with work 4-30pm arrived and in walked a very black lad , I said are you here to pick up the stuff . Quick as a flash he said , " dont you start Black Smith , Farrier , I have heard them all he could not stop me and for almost an hour we rolled about laughing at each other . I was told I would get on with his cockney mates because I was not afraid of their colour and would take the p*ss out of them , " you are wellcome mate anytime " .
My mate at school was black Jimmy ( Polly ) Oliver ( polly nickname polly wolly doodle song ! ) he still gets it today . As a 12 year old I called him a N*gger and he hit me so hard my head smashed off the wall , I can still feel it . But by the next break it was back to normal .
A student teacher called his younger brother the same Jimmy threw a ballcock and hit him in the face bust his nose the head of the all boys school dragged me out for 6 canes unless I told him who did it . I came away with very sore fingers on each hand . My fathers said it will toughen you up son .

Now every down has an up the Mog needed work doing to it and cold is not the word up here its bloody freezing . I went into the garage removed and sorted out the rack as it would not fit due to new s/steel bumpers . The drivers off side door handle was sticking so a new one fitted all the leather off and replaced its now as new . The six brackets that hold the wings on need to be powder coated they dont look 100% off they came . The two brackets that hold the silencer to the chassis I want in polished s/steel so they had to be removed and its a hand inside the car foot well etc and one under the wing job as they both go through the wood frame . All done I used my temper to good cause never felt the cold and no tight nut was tight enough . I could have twisted then loose with my fingers . Came out of the garage feeling I had done it thanks to that goon getting under my skin by trying to get at my money . He had not known my family come from Aberdeen .
Thinking of going into demolition with just a hammer all I need is someone to try each time to get money off me .

These bar stewards took my 87 year old mother in law for £90.
I usually enjoy these calls by pretending to be useless at IT & that the PC takes say 5 mins to start up. I also tell them I have an Apple. If you put the phone down they call back. But if you blow a whistle down the phone that seems to work.

The latest scam - in the last 18 months or so - are emails from friends stuck overseas and needing £5k wired to them urgently.

I received one yesterday and another one about 12 months ago. They are entirely believable.... OK - I've just dug one out, here it is:


"I'm writing this with tears in my eyes, my family and I came down here to Madrid, Spain for a short vacation,unfortunately we were mugged at the park of the hotel where we stayed all cash,credit card and mobile phone were stolen off us but luckily we still have our passports with us.

We've been to the Embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all the bad news is our flight will be leaving in less than 8-hrs from now but we're having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills.

Am freaked out at the moment! I'll need your help (LOAN) financially of 2,000 Pounds. I promise to make the refund once we get back home. Please let me know if you can help and i need you to keep checking your email because it's the only i can reach you...."

Now the clever thing is that the one above was from an friend of mine who was in Spain - the one before said 'Thailand' from a friend who was in Thailand. So they are believable.

The email addresses were compromised which is how they were able to pull it off and read the reply.

Clever. Bar stewards.

I've had a few of those.
At the time said friends were not where the email claimed, and the written word was sufficient for me to query the email, as the writing style, spelling and grammar did not fit the sender.

On top of that, most of our friends know not to ask, 'cos there's usually little spare cash!
