... just got back from the docs this morning to be told I've got to go for an endoscopy  A bit of a shock for someone who has swanned through life without a health care in the world Fingers crossed that it follows the Boshly and Neil theme of great news.  +1

I am pleased to report that although I am battered, sore and bruised, the investigation showed no signs of anything too worry about. Thank you all on TM for your concern and messages of support. It is very much appreciated.  Neil Excellent news Its a nice sunny day and I am not allowed to drive for 24 hours - life is such a bitch at times. though it sounds like you went for the wimpy option of pain relief drugs

Great news Neil. This must be catching though.... just got back from the docs this morning to be told I've got to go for an endoscopy A bit of a shock for someone who has swanned through life without a health care in the world ( apart from a partially disclocated neck thanks to a show jumping accident). After spending 10 years accompanying my wife through her hospital treatments... I have a hate of the places! I'm sure (and hope) its simply precautionary. Fingers crossed. It's understandably worrying, but my understanding is that of all colonoscopy's less than 10% necessitate further action (Usual disclaimer on stats and amateur knowledge).
