Welcome Marcos, I have owned 4 mogs, a 1985 +4 4 seater, and 3 Plus 8's, the 3.5, a 3.9 non cat and for the last 9 years a 1997 4.6, with long doors (the third such car made) they do make a big difference, I'm only 6'1" but find it much easier to enter/exit and of course the legroom is fantastic.

Pleased to hear someone is keen to join the diminishing throng of Plus 8 owners, Roadsters seem to have taken over, but I still love the burble of the old V8.
If you find any cars in the Midlands that need looking at or fancy a drive in my car, feel free to contact me.
BR
Rob

The top of the scuttle/dash is shorter (no room for demist vents). Dash is further forward, this extends down to door entry where the front of the door space is also further forward than on pre-long door.

The easiest way to see the difference is to put pre and post long door models alongside each other... Bring a tape measure laugh2

Well I won't be around Saturday, taking the Esprit to a garage in Kent to go on Sale or Return. But it's a step loser to the Plus 8, the day the Lotus sells... I can pounce!

Thanks or the info Graham, I am learning a lot very quickly!

Well I have reserved a car and will be going down to see it armed with a deposit, and a very strong intention to buy smile

1994, Royal Ivory with red leather, all aluminium, galvanised chassis, treated wood and wire wheels. Roof, side screens and tonneau are in a fawn colour which looks wonderful on the ivory paintwork.

Frankly, I can't wait smile

Rumbled!

G'day Boshly, thanks for the recommendation!

Pictures I have already but better to post them on here when I have handed over the cash I think.

Didn't sleep much last night, feels like Christmas (and not just because of the temperature...)

Marcos. I am a bit late to say, welcome to TM, so I will say "may the smile on your face from your first drive in the +8 never dim." drive
