The front badge on my -new to me - Plus Four has no enamel in the O and R. Is there some special reason or did they run out of enamel? Now you all think I am a dork because I don't know why that is. Axle Tramp

It’s probably just worn of. That seems to be a problem with badges on newer cars. Fortunately they can be replaced.

If it's the later badge, they have a reputation for shedding 'enamel'.

Exactly the same on my year old one, along with the chrome peeling of. I am hoping it will be replaced under guarantee. The door mirrors don't look to clever on the chrome either.

Mine peeled also. Having seen a car with no enamel left, it looked good.
Some that have been replaced peel again!
Happy Days.

Its a sort of plastic rather than enamel. I found my rear badge "enamel" lying intact on the floor after washing my car a few weeks ago. I actually prefer it without.
Does anyone know if the mounting pins for the earlier thicker badges, which I believe use proper enamel, are the same as the later badges so I could do a direct swop?

My current car has the new badge and the complete blue insert came out whilst cleaning the car however rather like Jays, I prefer it without. My previous car had the old badge and that caused electrolytic corrosion between the metals so, although Morgans are great cars for having fun, this is yet another example of their lack of quality.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

The badge on my September 2011 plus 4 lost the filling in the O. The badge was replaced under warrantee in July 2012. I was told that the factory was using a new badge. Apparently the original badge on my motor was curved after the blue was put on. The newer replacement badge had the blue put on after the badge is curved. So far the blue has remained intact. If it does come off, I will remove all the blue.

My badge was replaced after 6 months. with the new one I carefully filled all the spaceswith the blue plastic in with a metal varnish ( small drops with a tiny brush). So far so good all he blue is still there
