In order to get the OH into the car, these are going to be a must... I take it there should be no issues finding a friendly trimmer to have a punt at it, or is there a Mog specialist who does this kind of work regularly?

Heated seats in a drop top are wonderful. If you can do it yourself, the pads are available on ebay for around £30 per seat.

The electrics should be through a relay but the problem is do you feel happy to strip the seat and put it back together and still look the part

So getting some one to do it that has done it before does make a difference.

This is true moggin about 1990 I made good pals with a lad from Bedlington N/umberland ( all bloody crazy up there ) . In 1991 he followed me to H.OF. E. to drop off my mog . We shared his 1984 +8 to return , only it had no seat to sit your bum on . I asked John Worrall for some foam and he found two 6in x6in x 27in long bits to sit on ( better than wood . ) . Mick did a short bit on the m/way sticking his fingers up at the police on the other side ( not a full shilling ) . I played hell with him and took over stopped at a pub for food , when we came out he asked for his keys . I had left them in the ignition while parked outside PHEW. He drove to just short of Scotch Corner pulled in and said " take over I need some sleep " . Pulled up his collar on his f/jacket wrapped his scalf around his head and pulled his cap on tight . By the time I started the car he was asleep . I was enjoying the +8 no mod gizmo's just very light and bloody fast. . I turned off the A1(M) onto the Sedgefield -Hartlepool road towards the A19 , this is a cracking road long and straight ( before the r/abouts at Wynyard put in ) I opened it out to see what it would do as no one about and its dark . Going down the road with his 8 flat out and not a sole about was great fun . But the road works men had left no sign for a 4inch ramp I shot over it flat out it chucked me up and the s/wheel and s/belt kept me down . Mick was woken screaming " what the *&^%NW£"!?>_+!he could not see a thing as his scalf was around his face and he was pulling like hell at it . "Oh shut up and go back to sleep its only a ramp " was my reply . Now thats moggin with a mate two daft B*ggers enjoying themselves. . Not bothered about keeping our buts warm.
