Sorry for the lack of updates. As you can imgaine I have been so busy with testing on the race car and with organinsing our open day on the 30th.

So here is the latest up dates.

Here is the first version of the gauge shield.

Testing at combe

Once back at the workshop the car was checked over and worked on for driver improvments.
The tyres were cleaned up

A bigger gauge shield was made

Then it was back to testing duties for Henry and Paul, at a less windy/warmer Castel Combe

Tim was there in his newly built plus 8

The car is performing better each time she is out on track, and staying in one piece.
Now working on more car updates, from the feed back the drivers have given me.
Not long till the opening race of the series at Snetterton smile

The scoop on the Plus 8 is extreme; has that been tunnel tested?

The scoop replaces the air dam that ran along the whole of the front. The new scoop allows more air to cool the brakes and hopefully has the same preventative affect on lift at the front.

Tech questions on the suspension of the 4/4 racer:
1. What front spring rates. Main and rebound & interaction.
2. What rear spring rates.
3. What front damper characteristics, low speed, high speed, bump, rebound.
4. What rear damper characteristics, low speed, high speed, bump, rebound.
5. What toe angle.

You do not have to tell the world what you are using, I'll call in on Tuesday and you can tell me then, and I'll keep it private ;-) Good day Saturday at the open day! PJB

Lawrie,

Just a thought... will that gauge shield pass scrutineering?

It could present a risk to a stray hand off the wheel in the event of (hopefully not of course) an off...

The drivers hands are no where near the shield when off the steering wheel, but this week I shall be adding a neat rubber strip along the outter edge etc
